Great minds really do think alike. Since 2005, Melissa has devoted her education and her professional career to advancing the wellbeing of seniors with a goal of improving the senior living industry. So when she had the opportunity to work with Solera Senior Living, she jumped on it. “Solera founder and CEO Adam Kaplan has a reputation in the industry for elevating the resident experience and building a highly engaging culture. I wanted to be a part of that.”
As Executive Director of Trulee Evanston, Melissa carries her inner drive for excellence into everything she does, with creativity the core value that most inspires her. “As senior living evolves, we need to think outside the box and continuously enhance the way we serve our communities,” she says. “There is so much value in empowering every team member to share their voice and talent so that we can grow and impact Trulee together.”
Melissa earned her Bachelor’s degree in health services management concentrating in long-term care, and a Master of Social Work focused in gerontology and mental health from Loyola University Chicago. She spends her spare time making small dreams come true at One (Senior) Dream, as well as volunteering at organizations dedicated to maximizing the wellbeing of seniors.
A proud wife and mother, Melissa has three boys and a teeny tiny yorkie. Perfect vacation? A mix of adventure and relaxation somewhere warm.
